Made by Hand

There are so many different methods of manufacturing consumer goods. More specifically, there are a multitude of options for producing metal furnishings and home décor. It can be stamped, poured into a mold, or welded together with robotics and CNC equipment.

However, there is only one way we make it here; by hand. And not just anyone’s hand, but the gifted hands of a skilled blacksmith artisan. This is not just anywhere, but here in Ozark Mountain country, where folks are the salt of the earth, and a tradecraft is considered one of the finest achievements that can be earned.

Over the years, I’ve come to recognize the distinguishing marks and hints that give each piece we make a specific creator. Although every barstool and chandelier is made to the same specifications, each will have intricate differences that identify it with its’ maker. This is what sets us apart. The idea that an American Blacksmith living in the Ozark hills can craft a piece that will end up in a Manhattan Loft is enchanting and inspiring! I’m so thankful that I have the blessing of knowing these artisans personally. The thrill of watching a yellow hot piece of iron come to life in the hands of a blacksmith is awesome and it happens every day.
