America's Blacksmith Shop: See For Yourself

"Oh, blacksmiths? Like...the kind that make horseshoes?"

I can't tell you how many times I've been asked that after explaining the basics of the company I work for. I honestly can't blame people for the image that pops into their heads...a burly blacksmith with a Thor-like hammer, pounding away at flaming metal and shaping it by force into a...horseshoe.

My reply isn't always the same. But generally it falls along the lines of, "If only it were that simple."

It's simply too much to put into words, if I'm being honest. The artistry, the craftsmanship, that goes into every piece can’t be described in a few paragraphs. It's one of those things that you simply have to see for yourself; unfortunately, not everyone can make it out for a tour of the forges and workspace where Stone County Ironworks products are created.

Which is why we created our YouTube channel. A place where people can check out what we do for themselves, seeing everything as it is made. Vision and sound make a world of difference when it comes to explaining what we do. In fact, we don't even need to explain...the work and final pieces can tell their own story.

We've put together how-it's-made videos for several of our most popular products. So I'm proud to introduce the America's Blacksmith Shop Youtube Channel. Check out Cedarvale, Sassafras, Whisper Creek, and so many other examples of our beautiful collections, from side tables to chandeliers. See for yourself how our blacksmith artisans shape our various pieces, from start to finish, using many of the same processes and techniques from two hundred years ago.

And if you still want to come and see it in person, perhaps even try out your own blacksmithing skills on a hand-forged leaf or two, then we would certainly love to have you.
