Anything But Ordinary

Recently, I captured this moment of Chris, one of our Master Blacksmiths, as he added the last few touches to his creation of a beautiful hand forged iron wall sconce.

Had I shown him this photo, he would likely say (after a good chuckle) that he is just doing his job. Nothing special. I disagree. What these guys accomplish on the floor each and every day is anything but "normal". These men have put their lives into their work, many of them having worked at Stone County Ironworks for 20+ years.  Their dedication and creativity is absolutely inspiring. This magnificent artistry that Chris might think of as average, is in reality... anything but out of the ordinary.
